Bill Ferguson

Bill Ferguson is the President and CEO of Central Bank of the Midwest. As an affiliate of Central Bancompany, he leads a team of nearly 450 associates serving 24 communities in 45 full-service locations across Greater Kansas City and Lawrence. At every opportunity, Mr. Ferguson shares the Bank’s motto Strong Roots. Endless Possibilities. Bill is proud to serve as a board member on the Kansas City Area Development Council and as the Chair-Elect for the Overland Park Chamber.

Bill began his banking career as a Teller with Union Bank & Trust in Lincoln, NE, and has held executive roles with Wells Fargo Bank, NBH Bank and Commerce Bank during the course of his over 30 year career in the financial services industry. He joined Central Bank of the Midwest as Chief Operating Officer in 2016 and shortly thereafter assumed his current role as President and CEO in 2017. With a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Nebraska and an executive MBA from the Bloch School of Business at UMKC, Bill brings a depth of expertise and extensive background in strategy, sales, operations, lending and product development.
